His career began as a Listed Derivatives analyst at Royal Bank of Scotland in 2001 – he was then headhunted to go to Deutsche Bank AG in London, as a derivatives-focused prime brokerage Associate. From 2008 Neil then spent the next 6 years at J.P.Morgan where he served as Head of the Investment Bank’s Hedge Fund Taskforce group for Listed & OTC Derivatives with the responsibility for leveraging relationships across the entire firm and adding market share from additional capital deployment.  Neil also headed up the hedge fund sales & origination desk in London during the same period before serving as lead on the UK Family Offices and Asset Managers team for JPM Asset Management in 2012 – directly advising single family offices and UHNW’s on their affairs, including operational and investment risk management.  He worked closely with the Global Investment Office, Investment Bank & Private Bank to add value to clients & partners.

Neil has CEO & senior management experience within a private equity and venture capital – after leaving J.P.Morgan in 2014 leading growth in markets for emerging technology, investment & fund management and broader financial services for his own advisory firm – NicheFort.

Neil is a co-Founder and early stage investor at several fintech start-ups. Formerly CEO and current Partner at Shuttle Ventures – VC firm with a focus on blockchain infrastructure and fintech. Neil is a general partner in the groups hedge fund called Shuttle Fund Advisor (a CFTC regulated NFA approved fund in the US).  Neil was responsible for digital asset strategy for the firm – pushing innovation in line with regulation, risk management and compliance.. 

Neil has deep experience in asset and wealth management and is the current is Founder and President of Horizon Family Partners – a co-investment led platform for multi-generational families.

Neil has a BSc in Economics and Finance from Loughborough University, obtained the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment Wealth Diploma in 2012/13 and acquired a blockchain strategy accreditation from Oxford University in partnership with the Said Business School.
